Lunden and Katie, Schermerhorn Symphony Wedding, Nashville Wedding Photography

Katie and Lunden met in 2011 at Texas Christian University. In the summer of 2016, both of their families went on vacation to St. John. On the fourth night before dinner, Lunden took Katie on a walk down the beach and popped the question. Lunden is an accountant for HCA PSG and Katie is the owner of Pure Barre Franklin. The newly-weds reside in Nashville, TN.
Katie and her mother brought a suitcase of thoughtful details and meaningful heirlooms for us to photograph. I know each one has a story. I love that Katie brought these to honor her family tree on the day that she's starting her own.
“After numerous weddings at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, I was stuck with the task of how to make this one different. Katie trusted me to create an indoor arbor to be placed in the center of the concert hall. The large estate head table placed beneath seemed to go on for a mile. I was especially thrilled to incorporate a plethora of unique and colourful flowers. An exciting change from the years of shades of white and blush which have engulfed the nuptial world. Stunning chesterfield tufted banquettes flanked the perimeter of the room as guests dined under additional chandeliers we installed at the perfect height. Tall, leafy green trees worked especially well in this space creating a sense of warmth as well as height and coverage. They came in handy as we masked the stage with a combination of crepe myrtles and boxwood wall installations. The overall look was achieved and the bride and groom felt as if we had created a home for one night just for them.”
