Life is better when you're living it in community with others. New seasons of life can be especially challenging and it's comforting to know you're not in it alone. Ricky and Christine are in a small group with Brett and I through our church, the Village Chapel here in Nashville. Our group is led by a retired couple who are some of the most intentional and caring people I know. They feel like parental figures, gently leading us with their wisdom. We meet at the hosts' home every week, gather around the table for a meal and go through a study together. We share in each other's joys and sorrows. We morn together, take each other meals, celebrate together and serve together. This was a moment to celebrate as sweet Sadie is welcomed into their family, and into our community.
