Mike & Brittany, Bloomsbury Farm Wedding

What made you choose your wedding location and venue? Did they have any special significance to you?

We knew we wanted to get married in Nashville because it is a really special place to us. For quite some time we considered moving to Nashville but in the end, we chose to stay in San Diego. We wanted Nashville to forever hold a special place in our hearts so we chose to get married there. We considered a few venues in Nashville but Bloomsbury Farm stood out. It was our first venue visit in person and we just knew from the moment we got there. Our good friend, Molly Sohr, was also our wedding planner and during the visit, she was able to really paint the picture of what the day could look like. We immediately fell in love with it!

For the bride - what do you admire most about your husband?

I admire his passion - he throws himself in to whatever he does and devotes himself to it. He picks a direction and goes, never looking back. He is very decisive, which perfectly complements my indecisiveness!

For the groom - what do you admire most about your wife?

I admire her patience and how she always thinks about others. I also love her cooking!

Molly's husband and Mike are best friends and we're very close with them. It was really special to have someone close to us plan the wedding and we always felt confident in her recommendations and ideas for the wedding day. We were beyond thrilled with the final outcome and we couldn't be more appreciative and thankful for Molly and her team.

We liked how the wedding moved between three different spots and a lot of the property was incorporated. Each spot had a different feel and I think it helped keep people interested. The guests didn't see the reception area until we all moved to that location, which kept it a surprise.

I would have to say my favorite was riding up in the Bentley with my dad because there was a moment when the car turned around the corner, I saw all of our friends and family's heads turn, then I saw Mike. It was that moment that everything hit me and I realized the significance of it all. It was really special.

We had the guests walk through the barn then they saw this beautiful, dreamy, romantic reception with the sun setting in the background. We used a clear tent that was perfectly lit so everyone could see the background and the night. It was very romantic and everything I'd ever dreamed of.

Something that was extremely important to me that I insisted upon throughout the entire wedding planning process was I wanted everyone on the dance floor all night long! We found an incredible band and the night wouldn't have been the same without them. We knew they were the right choice within one minute of watching a video of them perform and we called them immediately! I wanted to keep the dinner and speeches on the shorter side then dancing all night long and that's exactly what happened. Our friends and family are still talking about how much fun they had!

What was it like being in front of my camera?

We had so much fun! We were definitely nervous on the day of the wedding but we felt very comfortable around you and you made everything so easy! You captured all of our favorite moments and really special candid shots that truly reflect the day. The day goes by very quickly so I'm extremely thankful you captured such beautiful photos so I will always remember it! We look forward to working with you again in the future!

What's next for you as a couple?

We are going to focus on being newlyweds! The engagement was centered around wedding planning so we are excited to get back to focusing on each other.
