Spencer and Lindsey, Scarritt Bennett Wedding

These two are the real deal. So genuine, so joyful, so loving and caring. They value their family, their faith and their friends. This day was such an honor to be a part of and Lindsey and Spencer made us feel like we were there as their friends. This a special one that I’m excited to share. Excerpts below are from the bride, Lindsey, telling about the day in her own words.

Spencer and I love the beauty of Scarritt Bennett. We both wanted to get married in a church setting, and since our church does not meet in a traditional church building, Scarritt was the perfect choice for us! Spencer grew up going to Richland, and we thought it was the perfect place to celebrate our marriage with our closest friends and family.

Q. For the groom - what do you admire most about your wife?

A. I admire Lindsey’s kindred spirit. She could have had a terrible day at work, but when she comes home, she shuts out this bad day she had and focuses on me. She is intentional and caring towards other people. She doesn’t give up easily and expects the same attitude in return. She pushes me to be the best version of myself that I can be.

Q. For the bride -- what do you admire most about your husband?

A. I always knew that Spencer was thoughtful and intentional, but I’ve seen those qualities in him even more since we have been married. Whether it be packing my lunch the night before I work, preparing dinner when he knows I’ll be coming home late, or making me laugh when I seem stressed, he is so attentive to me and those around him.

The most memorable moment for me was definitely seeing Spencer and my walk down the aisle. Since we chose not to do a first look, we both had so much anticipation and excitement leading up to the ceremony that it made for the sweetest and most memorable moment! His reaction is something I will never forget!

Q. What was it like being in front of my camera?

A. Rachel is the absolute best! Spencer and I are no experts in the photography department, and one of the first things I told her during our engagement shoot was that “we have no idea how to pose.” Rachel made us feel comfortable and relaxed without feeling like we were “posing” for the camera! During the ceremony and reception, we hardly even realized she was there (which made for the best pictures!). I was very picky in choosing my photographer, and I would choose her again any day!

Our favorite detail of the reception was the band! From the first dance to the last song, we had so much fun dancing the night away with everyone we love.

Q. What's next for you as a couple?

A. Right now, we are settling in as a married couple and planning lots of trips together! We want to focus our time by growing in our relationship with each other and with God. We also wouldn’t mind getting a puppy in the near future.
